Residential Youth Worker Full Time

Alex is recruiting for a Residential Youth support worker in the Guildford area for a highly desirable company looking to provide the very best care to their service users.
There is also support available for candidates that that are looking to further their career and work towards their Level 3 Diploma in either children and young people workforce or Level 3 Diploma in health & social care, or equivalent qualification.

Key duties and skills

• Delivering High-quality care to service users.
• Ensuring service users feel welcomed and provide support working through Occupancy agreements.
• Build and maintain trusting and professional relationships with all allocated young people.
• To compile daily comprehensive reports utilizing Clear Care software.
• Provide support to young people making asylum claims, attending home office appointments, meeting with solicitors, and assisting with access to national insurance numbers.

Requirements

• Experience working with young people and be over the age of 23.
• To either hold or be in the process of obtaining a level 3 diploma in the children and young people workforce.
• Safeguarding level 1- 2 Desired but not essential, (Safeguarding can be covered in the induction process).
• Enhanced clear DBS.

• Hours – 40 hours p/w in 12 hour shifts (08 :00 – 20 :00 and 20 :00 – 08 :00)
• Shift Pattern: Alternate shift patterns including, days, evenings, waking nights including weekends
• Salary: £19,000-£23,000 pa (according to experience)
