Children’s Home Manager Full Time

Jack is recruiting for an OFSTED Children’s Home Manager for a new small home around Bedford.

As Registered Children’s Home Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating your team to achieve high standards and ensure that children within the home receive the best care possible.

As a manager, you will be building long-term relationships with your staff, and with the residents, whilst maintaining the upkeep of the home.

This role is suitable for a Care Home Manager with OFSTED experience or individual with significant senior experience in a Children’s Home.

Key Duties and skills

Ensuring the general upkeep of the Children’s Home.
Providing considerate care and support to the children within the care home.
Displaying a safe atmosphere through safeguarding from abuse, neglect, and harm to allow them to be positive throughout their day-to-day life.
Ensuring that you are professional throughout your shift, whilst organising children’s activities, attending children reviews, appointments and meetings when required.
Delivering clear communication, reporting, and recording safeguarding concerns, updating records, adhering to policies and procedures and create positive community relationships.
Maintaining positive community relationships, with creativity.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 year’s care experience with children (required)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role in childcare (required)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent or working towards)
Clear Enhanced DBS
Understanding budgets and processes
Experience with Ofsted and have previously worked within an Ofsted Home. Including working knowledge of the Children’s Act, National Care Standards 2000 and Children’s Homes Regulations 2001.
