Support Worker – Supported Living Full Time

Dayam is recruiting for Support Workers who are qualified in Emotional and Behavarioul Difficulties (EBD) to work within supported living establishments. The work will be located within Guilford and full-time work will be available.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for leading and motivating all residents from the age of 16-24 years old by assisting with activities, and educational processes.

This role is suitable for an experienced Support Worker with Leadership qualities.

Key Duties and skills

• Be committed to building up a new home.
• Work as part of a team and take guidance from superiors.
• Providing considerate care and emotional support to the young residents.
• Displaying a safe atmosphere through safeguarding from abuse, neglect, and harm to allow them to be positive throughout their day-to-day life.
• Ensuring that you are professional throughout your shift, whilst organising children’s activities, attending children reviews, appointments and meetings when required.
• Delivering clear communication, reporting, and recording safeguarding concerns, updating records, adhering to policies and procedures and create positive community relationships.
• To support young people in making asylum claims, attending home office appointments, meeting with solicitors, and assisting with access to national insurance numbers.

Requirements

• Experience working with children.
• Ofsted Regulated experience.
• Be qualified in working with Emotional and Behavarioul Difficulties (EBD).
• Enhanced DBS.
• NVQ Level 2 and 3 (Preferred)
• Ability to build positive and long-term relationships.
